Lifestyle ConsultationDuring this appointment we will explore your detailed health history, discuss your personal concerns, health objectives and perform pulse assessment. Based on your unique clinical state, Ayurvedic lifestyle practices, including diet, herbs, yoga, pranayama and meditation are recommended. We also offer phone consultations, for those who live out of state or cannot come to our center.

AbhyangaThis ancient massage technique is performed by a synchronized team of two therapists. Herbalized oils are prepared specifically for your physical and mental balance. Warm oil penetrates the tissues, loosening toxins from the cell and tissue structures. Abhyanga draws out impurities, improves immunity by increasing lymphatic circulation; your body melts into stillness as your awareness flows into deep peace.

ShirodharaA profoundly relaxing treatment of warm oil poured slowly in a continuous stream across the forehead. Shirodhara calms the central nervous system, synchronizes brain waves and promotes a sense of deep peace that many have not experienced since being in the womb. Healing starts to take place as your nervous system begins to restore. Includes a warm oil scalp and face massage and nasya.

Shirodhara Add-OnAdd a half hour of Shirodhara to any massage treatment.

 

NasyaA thoroughly relaxing head, face, neck and shoulder treatment designed to open the upper body channels (srotas) and encourage lymphatic flow. Nasya clears the sinuses, enlivens your senses and relieves tension and congestion. This cleansing therapy is indicated for headaches, allergies and problems of the neck and head region. Includes marma therapy, herbal steam and medicated oil drops of ginger and jaggery for the nasal passages.

Marma Chikitsa

A calming and balancing therapeutic massage focusing on pressure points (marmas), enhanced by medicated herbal oils and essential oils tailored for your body. By stimulating the marma points, we open energetic and physical blocks caused by inadequate circulation, stress and improper diet. This treatment will make you more aware of your body-mind connection, leaving you feeling centered and grounded.

SwedanaA full body herbal steam treatment, in a specialized heat chamber, allowing the head to remain cool. Moist heat and herbs encourage the mobilization of impurities (ama) throughout the body and elimination through the sweat glands. We offer this deeply cleansing treatment as an additional enhancement to our other treatments.

Ajara Face RejuvenationEnvironmental toxins, sun and stress eventually affect the delicate skin on our face, damaging tissues on a deep level. Our individualized facial rejuvenation treatment uses the Ajara Skin Care line, formulated from all natural ingredients, to nurture your skin while removing impurities. Includes marma chikitsa, herbal steam, a deep cleanse, herbal mask, and individually tailored massage and essential oils. An invigorating natural approach that enhances your appearance and well being.

Pinda SwedaAn intensely therapeutic treatment designed to deeply purify and soothe the body area of your choice. Warm oil massage and marma chikitsa prepare the region for receiving treatment. A medicinal bundle of specially prepared rice and herbs are applied to the affected area, penetrating into the tissue for relief. An ideal therapy for painful joints or sports injury. Pinda Sweda is most effective when repeated over a course of several days.

Kati BastiA traditional restorative treatment to soothe the lumbosacral region, indicated for low back pain, slipped discs, sciatica and arthritis affecting the spine. Your treatment begins with marma chikitsa (pressure point massage). We use organic whole wheat flour to make a reservoir that is placed over the affected area of your spine. Warm medicated oils are poured inside, concentrating the beneficial effects where you need it most. The oils penetrate deeply through the tissues, bathing the affected vertebrae, nerves and muscles.

Netra BastiThe eyes are intimately connected to the brain and nervous system. This soothing treatment is ideal for many eye conditions and for general calming and balancing of the mind. We make a reservoir from whole wheat flour and place it around the eye. Gently warm ghee (clarified butter) is poured inside, bathing the eye and surrounding tissues. As the ghee penetrates, the entire nervous system receives the therapeutic effects. We work on one eye at a time, so this treatment is scheduled on two consecutive days.

Therapeutic MassageA relaxing full body treatment designed to address injured, overworked and tender muscles. We use warm Ayurvedic herbalized oils, designed to penetrate deeply for a therapeutic experience. Enhances blood and lymph circulation, reduces emotional stress, and considered a preventive against future injury. Ideal for soothing muscle strains, sprains, aches and spasms.

Panchakarma

Panchakarma (PK) is a detoxifying and cleansing program based on ancient purification and rejuvenation techniques from India. This treatment must be performed by a knowledgeable and well trained therapist. PK is designed to ripen the bodily tissues and divulge them of impurities, so the body can heal itself and function at optimal levels. It is a scientific approach that involves a specific series of treatments, designed to meet your individual needs. This deeply cleansing process will give you a fresh start, as you leave behind impurities, fatigue, as well as physical, emotional, and mental stress. We offer PK as a 1 day Sampler, a 3 day Rejuvenation, and a 5 day Deep Cleanse. Extended programs are available, please contact us for more information.

Panchakarma is a four step program.

• Step one is the process of oleation, which begins the purification process by lubricating and ripening the tissues in order to loosen impurities (ama). This step is done at home by self-massage and taking certain herbs and oils internally.
• Step two in Panchakarma is performed by our trained therapists throughout your visit, with specific steam and oil therapies. We use therapeutic heat, individually tailored oils, and ancient massage techniques, encouraging loosened impurities, to flow to the GI tract for removal.
• Step three is the process of eliminating toxins. This is done by the use of gentle herbal tea enemas known as basti; and virechana, which is the gentle purgation of toxins through the GI tract, with the use of herbs taken internally.
• Step four is rejuvenation, known as rasayana, which helps the body restore its strength after impurities have been removed. This is done at home with our instruction.

All of the Panchakarma packages include daily treatments of Garshana, Abhyanga, Nasya, Svedana and Shirodhara, lasting approximately two and one quarter hours. Please leave time for a warm shower, relaxation and tea.

	Cancellation Policy: Your Panchakarma deposit is nonrefundable if you cancel within 30 days of your scheduled arrival date. Upon arrival, your credit card will be charged for the full week and is nonrefundable.
