This class is open to anyone who is interested in meditation, as a first time introduction or to be reminded of your practice.
The classes will be user friendly and aimed toward having fun together. The teaching style is based on experiential learning and group discussion. By the end of four weeks, you will learn techniques to improve focus and concentration as well as skills to facilitate a sense of inner stillness and resilience when faced with life's challenges. Regular mindfulness practice is not only an antidote to the stress of our daily lives, it also improves our sense of well-being and restores energy and enthusiasm for life.
Kim Nolan, M.Ed./Buddhist Chaplain, has practiced meditation since 1988 and been a counselor since 1992. She is a Mentor for Mindful Living in private practice, is extensively trained in facilitating Self Care workshops and Restorative Retreats, and leads local sitting groups in meditation.
